Basil in November
It is November and the wind is cold outside. The Genovese Basil that is in my Signature SunPod is still producing vibrant green leaves for our dining pleasure. Basil does not like having too much water standing on its leaves or they will start to go black. To avoid this I open the Signature on a calm, mild day once a week for an hour or two and allow the outside air to naturally circulate around the plants.
The following is a photo of the Signature in the evening on the Patio.

This time of year it is a good idea to feed your culinary herbs with an infusion of nettle as well as seaweed because of the high mineral and silica content. The infusion strengthens and nourishes the plants.
